August 7, 2:08 p.m.

This is an update for the Tanasi Hills PMM schedule. On Thursday, the first coat was applied to the areas that were not finished previously, and the second coat was applied to the areas that had received the first coat. However, the radar showed a chance of rain between 3 and 4 PM yesterday afternoon, which delayed the second coat in part of the area. It is rescheduled for this coming Tuesday, August 11. Here are the areas in Tanasi Hills that will receive the second coat on August 11:

  • All of Nowata Drive
  • Pocola Way from the address of 151 to 127. This would be turning right onto Pocola Way from Nowata Drive, then going down to 127 Pocola Way.
  • All of Atoka Place
  • All of Ottawa Place
  • Ottawa Circle from 318 to the intersection of Ottawa Circle and Ottawa Place.
Coyatee is complete as of this update.
Chota Shores is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, August 10 and 11. Tanasi Hills areas mentioned above are included on the 11th along with Chota Shores second coat.

PMM ASPHALT SEALING ROAD CLOSURES

STREET RESTORATION (ASPHALT SEALING) IN SPECIFIED PARKING LOTS, CHOTA WOODS, CHOTA SHORES, TANASI HILLS, COYATEE POINT, COYATEE CIRCLE, AND COYATEE SHORES NEIGHBORHOODS IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN JULY 23.  ROAD CLOSURES WILL BEGIN ON THIS DAY AND WILL BE SCHEDULED THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE MONTH AND INTO THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST. MAPS WITH ROAD CLOSURE DATES WILL BE PROVIDED.

Sealer application is a 2-day process. PSG will have each road closed from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for 2 days. The dates for your road closure are listed below. We have included a schedule of planned routing (weather permitting). If your scheduled day is postponed due to weather, you will be placed at the end of the original schedule until all roads are completed. You will be notified of any updated schedules on the website. Each section will take two (2) days to complete. All emergency vehicles will have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Do not walk or drive on treated streets until the roads have been reopened. It will track on driveways, sidewalks, and carpets. Plan for your road to be closed from 7 am to 7 pm. However, the road may reopen sooner if the sealer dries quickly that day. Check the website throughout the afternoon for updates on possible early re-opening of your street.

Streets may be closed for up to 12 hours. Times may change according to the weather. We thank you for your cooperation, patience, and understanding regarding the schedule, and we kindly ask that you limit your travel during the restoration period.

HELPFUL HINTS:

*If you have a doctor’s appointment, meeting, flight, etc., on the day your road is scheduled to be closed, you will need to leave your home by 7 am that morning before your road is closed, or you will need to park somewhere else and walk to your car. You will not be permitted to drive on your street until it is reopened that evening. Updates on when the road will reopen will be posted daily on the POA website.

*You will be responsible for protecting your landscape/shoulder stone next to the roadway from overspray of the material being applied to the roadway.

WARNING: THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT COME OFF CONCRETE, STAINED, OR PAINTED DRIVEWAYS. PSG will not be responsible for landscaping items or stone.

* Notify landscapers, other construction crews, or any outside service that they will not have access to the road on the scheduled date.

* If walked on or driven on before having time to cure, sealant will track on sidewalks, carpet, hardwood floors, tile, or inside of cars, and PSG will not be responsible.

* If there is a chance of rain, high winds, or a late start due to traffic, PSG may cut back the area or push the project back a day or more.

*There will be a distinct, harmless odor.

*Please shut down all sprinkler systems the evening before your road is scheduled. Do not run your sprinkler system on the day of the treatment. It may wet the road, causing a delay in application.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
