T-BART Operations on Tellico Lake Suspended
The T-BART Board met in an emergency meeting today to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on T-BART operations. It was voted that T-BART will immediately suspend all operations until further notice. This includes regular tows, courtesy tows, NSS, scheduled training, and Lake Orientation Classes. Appropriate agencies and personnel will be notified as quickly as possible.
This unprecedented action is being taken for the safety of our members and the safety of the community. We will be watching for information from the CDC and governmental agencies as to how long this will be implemented and when we can return to our mission. If you have any questions or comments, please contact a T-BART Board member.
Another service for boaters who are stranded on the lake is for members of Boat US; the phone number is (865) 986-2290. They will still provide free service to members.
Recreation Department: 865-458-7070
All facilities are closed, including the Wellness Center, Chota Recreation Center, Kahite Activity Center, Kahite Community Center, playgrounds, and all pickleball and tennis courts.
The only activities that are open are the walking and hiking trails.
All dining rooms are closed and operations at Tanasi Bar & Grill and Toqua Sports Bar & Grill are suspended. A modified menu is being used to operate out of the Yacht Club’s Blue Heron Restaurant. Curbside pickup and delivery services are available 7 days a week from 11am to 7pm. Kahite Pub & Grill will also provide curbside pickup and delivery services for the Kahite neighborhood during the same hours. As of tomorrow March 23rd, alcohol sales are permitted with takeout orders. Beer, bottled wine, and select liquor drinks can be ordered with curbside pickup. We are not able to provide this service with delivery.
Once you arrive curbside, call the restaurant to give them your name and they will bring out your order.
