March 19, 2020

TVPOA has been monitoring the ongoing news related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) very closely. Currently, we are not aware of any cases in Loudon or Monroe counties. As we continue to keep the safety of our residents, staff, and guests as our top priority, we are implementing new procedures to help encourage social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19. In addition to our enhanced cleaning protocols and temporary changes and closures previously communicated, TVPOA will also begin to limit face-to-face exposure.

TVPOA staff is in the office and continues to work to serve our property owners. However, the following protocols will take effect tomorrow, March 20th and will continue until April 3rd, at which time we will re-evaluate the situation. We are monitoring this situation very closely and will make further adjustments as needed.

Rest assured that Public Works has extra trained staff on-call. Please call Public Works with any issues that may arise.

To use our online catalog visit www.tvlibrary.org, choose online catalog on the top bar, and log in with your library card number and use userpass as your password (unless you have changed it to something else). You can put an item on hold, and if it says available you can make an appointment to come in to pick up that day. You may still request interlibrary loans but bear in mind that many libraries are closed with no staff, so there will be fewer libraries participating in the interlibrary system.

Don’t forget that you can download electronic books and audiobooks from Tennessee READS. You may access this by going to https://reads.overdrive.com or http://meet.libbyapp.com.

You may continue to return your materials by dropping them in the book drop. The items will be retrieved and checked in daily. Please do not put the literacy backpacks by the front door or the book drop. They may be returned once we open. Late fees will be waived during this time.

Please do not bring items for the book sale until we re-open. The Book Sale has been rescheduled for August 20-22.

Note: Many other businesses and organizations have closed operations, canceled events, or postponed meetings. Please call them directly or check Tellico Life for the latest information.
